In no more than 5 words explain your ambitions:
I’d like a child.
Favourite place and why?
By my father’s side. Everything made sense then. Now that he’s dead, I need a child of my own.
Mata. You thought I’d say my fists, didn’t you? They’re not always this battered. I’d like to say the other guy looks worse, but there were so many of them…
There’s this moment when you can feel Mata focusing on you, like his eye is boring into your soul, and everything falls apart, usually into a huge mess, and the laughter just cascades out of you because there is nothing you can do about it.
Mata without a doubt. You thought I’d name some other god, didn’t you? Ha!
Tell me about your childhood:
My father and I went everywhere together. The eye of Mata was upon us, see, so we couldn’t stay in one place. No one wants Mata’s eye to linger too long in one place, not even his priests. It was wonderful! I hope my child enjoys the same experience.
Where would you be now if you had made better choices?
You don’t know Mata, do you? Ha! But we’ve spoken now, so soon you’ll learn! Come talk to me again if you need to. Or you might make better choices and speak with priests of gentler gods.
Look away.
Mata sees you. Mata sees you all.
