In no more than 5 words explain your ambitions:

To protect my son, Zander.

Favourite place and why?

I can’t tell you the exact location. It’s a secret underground place, protected by magic and run by some kind of monks. But it’s glorious. Food is plentiful; accommodations are comfortable. I constantly fear being kicked out of this place and having to once again fight for survival.

Favourite weapon and why?

My best friend Nora’s bow. She’s quite skilled at using it, which has been very helpful while we’ve been on the run.

Favourite moment and why?

Meeting my husband, Zander. He’s dead now, having succumbed to the pandemic that swept through our village.

Most significant enemy and why?

Sadly, I have many enemies now, including my own tribe. When I became pregnant with triplets, I had to escape. Pregnancy is so rare in our tribe, women who become pregnant are believed to be witches and burned at the stake. Only one of my babies was born alive: a boy. I buried my two girls who didn’t survive out in the desert. My son appears to have magical powers, so I’ll never be able to return to our tribe with him. Magic is also considered witchcraft and punishable by death. Traveling through an apocalyptic landscape, however, one encounters many new enemies. I’m traveling with my best friend, Nora. We’re always on high alert, trying to stay safe.

Tell me about your childhood:

I enjoyed my childhood. We had enough food from farming. My mom read books to me. And I always enjoyed when the gadget traders came through our village. When I grew up, I actually married one.

Where would you be now if you had made better choices?

I think I’ve made good choices. Nora and I have found shelter in a rather magical place. It’s been a struggle, trying to stay alive after the apocalypse, but I feel we’ve made a series of positive choices that led us here. I don’t think I’d have done anything differently.

Anything you’d like to say to your maker?

Thank you for leading Nora and me to the shelter where we’re currently living and for protecting my infant son while we were on the run. Thank you also for protecting the young boy, Finley, who’s joined us on our journey. Please continue to protect us. Please.

Thank you for your time, please feel free to leave a parting statement:

My creator has a tagline for the book where I reside: “At the end of the world, there will be magic.” I really hope there will be more magic than suffering in my future.
